LAURA DENNIS

I'm a contempoaray Britsh painter and printmaker based in the Brecon Beacons. My creative practice is centred around mixed media art to create works that respond to an experience, memory and feeling of our landscape. I work onto a specially formulated clay ground which allows me to create atmospheric paintings that combine oil paint and watercolour. 

Whilst my paintings are inspired by landscape and light, my printmaking is inspired by the flora and fauna with in it. Using traditional printing techniques to create artworks, wallpaper and decorative objects.

You can join me in the studio for a variety of creative classes and events throughout the year. I also host private events for groups, feel free to get in touch if you're visiting the Brecon Beacons with friends and would like to get creative. 

 

As well as teaching from my gallery and studio, I'm also a guest tutor at West Dean College of Art, Sussex.
